The channels that do not participate are just inching that much more toward obscurity.
Just recently we cancelled the cable subscription (still have KylinTV IPTV) for lack of use. Only one TV show was watched per week, and that can be purchased on iTunes in a superior format to what we got via cable, for a fraction of the cost of cable.
If my provider had an app like this, we would have stayed subscribed. Its arcane to sit down in front of a screen at a predetermined time to watch programming, it really is.

I have a few questions, as I will be in London all day and want to be one of the first 500 (i.e. T-Shirt time :D):
1. Do you there will be a long queue?
2. What time should I get there to make sure I'm one of the first?
Thanks

Maybe the Power Chips (http://www.powerchips.gi/index.shtml) website is more welcoming. Seems like similar technology with a larger potential for energy recovery (70-80%). Hard to believe.

Please let this serve as public notice of my intentions to bring to market, iParent, a revolutionary new app that allows even the laziest dumb asses to be good parents. Simply type in your parental situation into the app and buy your answer via an in-app purchase.
LMAO!!!!!!! When do you go public and where can I buy stock? :p

In america, racism is legal, and should be, least one day freedom of speech is so stifled that anyone who isn't, say, blonde haired, blue eyed, be subject to scrutiny.
I don't know about Britain, but what I do know is this: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

I don't like the bar of soap design like the old iPhones. Prefer the iPhone 4 with the glass back and thin design.
I agree but the touch is always thinner and im not sure how tough a thin iP4 would be.

Technically 60% of the voting public did not want a conservative government. Only 40% voted conservative, another reason why we need a two party system or proportional representation.
80% didn't want a liberal government, 70% didn't want a NDP government. Conservatives won the majority of seats, now let them run the show for a while.

I doubt very much Macbook is getting updates at the same time Pro Models do. Thats not how Apple operates. First the pro models will be updated then that tech will show up months later in Macbook with some crippling like in Gpu.
Exactly! That's why the iMacs didn't get the Intel procssors until 7 months after the Mac Pros, right?

Adobe's other apps are to be Universal, but we see that they are willing to abandon PowerPC, as will other vendors who don't see much of a market in software for the old Macs, and who can save development costs by selling Intel-only applications.

I'm hoping one of the super secret features is a completely reworked Finder. While I don't think it's a deal-breaker by any means, I have to agree with those who say that the Finder is generally sluggish in ways that it should not be. I have a Windows XP box on my desk next to my G5 and XP's windows and menus are lightning fast and immediately responsive. Further, icons and file lists are pulled up instantaneously. With the Finder on the G5, there's always that little pause or the list of files take a second or two to show up or icons take a while to load. There's no reason Apple shouldn't be equal to or better than XP's interface, but it's not. It's the one area where Apple hasn't quite nailed it.
Still, I would take OS X over XP any day, but it sure would be good news to me to hear a fully revamped Finder with all these slowdowns ironed out.

Why wait outdoors (Knox) when you can wait indoors (Northpark)?
It is supposed to be a high of 70 and sunny all day friday, why wouldn't someone want to spend some time outside with that nice of weather.

As a long term Garmin user I cringed when they tried doing the phone thing with Asus, this doesnt fill me with any confidence either.
As mentioned above, signal where I am in the UK is just too patchy to rely on, or indeed fast enough (even when signal is good).
When iPhones only had 4/8gb storage then it kind of makes sense but as later models are all 16gb+ whats the big deal?
I like to holiday in the US, often driving long distances. OTA maps would cost me a fortune in roaming fees, if indeed I got signal out in the sticks.
For me buying copilot outright (25/$40) for the UK and (10/$15) USA (Thanks Black friday sales!) made a lot more sense and a fixed budget. I get quarterly updates too so I'm never that out of date!
Before NDrive were given the boot I recall I got their USA/Canada maps for about $5 all in. Unless you really need all the available space for music/games/etc why would you want to risk it all on the chance of a good signal?

For what it is worth I plan on TRYING to write lab reports with Pages this quarter. We'll see how they go. But I'll make a template of the basic report and just Change thing in it to make them unique. I think it should work.
