When I click the search box in IE6, the submit button does highlight, but I can still type in the text field.
It might be the button:active declaration in the CSS that IE6 is hiccuping on.
I just checked again and the "Go" button gets highlighted and I CAN enter text and search. My IE6 was installed automatically with XP Pro.

It's not myspace so much folks as it is all the relatively novice computer users dumping all sort of odd code into their page. WMP is a problem simple because we dont have the latest version windows user have, the easiest thing to do is go to the security tab in safari preferences and un check enable plugins, since ive started that ive not had a single myspace crash.

Machine looks at both DIMMs as one big DIMM.
So is that definitely what i have? it says on some of the memory sites that somes G5s have four dimm slots and others 8. I'm pretty sure mine has 8, but want to verify.

SAME!!! Its sooo anoying... i want 2 switch 2 a mac ; but he won't let me... so I posted a thread.. and finnally convinced him... I hope he doesn't turn 2 the evvvil side again :P ...

Are you talking about the mac mini or the mac mini server?
if it's the dual HD server, then you won't get a built in DVD drive.
Personally if you want to keep power down, i'd invest in something like a qnap TS410 NAS. It'll take 4 drives, up to 8TB and will allow you to protect the data by using RAID 1,5 or 6. You can plug your existing external drives into it. It has built in mac/win/ftp sharing, upnp, itunes sharing, iphone access and will draw less than 40 watts at peak usage. Then use your dell for ripping dvd's. I'm assuming it's a hackintosh if you are running handbrake?

Hey everyone I'm not sure if this is the right section for this, so if it isn't please point me in the right direction.
Anyhow I recently "found" a Macintosh TV, did a fresh install of System 7.1, hooked up my Genesis and... it seems like I'm missing half the frames per second. Both RF and video in have the same problem.
I've changed the very limited options in both TV Setup and Monitors and I still have the same problem. Will installing 7.6 change anything or am I stuck missing half the frames?
EDIT: Ok it's not half the frames missing but it's still noticeable. Also is there a way to adjust the picture quality, the video in is extremely blurry with multicolored artifacts everywhere.
It sounds as if the TV tuner card may be having issues. The way it works in that system is that the TV tuner card does *ALL* of work. It then throws the video over the digitally-rendered content from the Mac OS. The analog video cannot be 'captured' on a Macintosh TV, and cannot be manipulated at all within the OS; so the OS is irrelevant. It's a piece of hardware slapping the video live as it comes in over the computer graphics. Any "slowdown" is purely in the hardware tuner.

My iPhone 4 is actually better than both point and shoot cameras we own (we haven't bought a new one in a few years), so yes, it has totally replaced my point and shoot camera.

I was a Mac user for the first several years of my computing life. Then I purchased a G3 Wallstreet Powerbook. I liked it, but my wife got a Toshiba Satellite, it seemed(at the time) much faster, and was about half the price. Needless to say that I then converted to the dark side of the force...
It wasn't until I got a new job that I begin to shake off years of un-faithfulness. I had even tried to bring down an empire by convincing our CEO that we needed to switch from MYOB to QuickBooks so that he had to purchase PC's. Then I was given the gift of a G4 400 Mhz machine with OS X. I began to see the error of my ways, and within days had gone cold turkey with the PC...except my one reminder of the drunken stupor...we still have QuickBooks.
As soon as they figure out a solution for multiple users on the Mac side we will fully convert back.
That's my humble story.

My D2 is noiser than my iMac, but I think it depends on your luck with what manufacturers drive is inside it. I got stuck with a Maxtor sadly :(
However noise aside it's great. Not had experience of the Porsche cases, but I gained the impression that it was just a different case design - so go for the one you like the look of.

Ok, here is the issue. I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch 2.4 Core 2 Duo (late 2007 model) with 6GB of RAM (DDR2 667). I don't know how to explain this because I am so pissed! Ok so let me try. Take a look at this screenshot.
In proper English (the one spoken in Britain), pissed = drunk out of your head, pissed off = annoyed. I assume you are annoyed because you have just enough knowledge to get all heated up under your collar, but not enough knowledge to actually understand things.
Unused memory is useless. You bought 6 GB of RAM to use it. Freeing up the inactive memory just wastes it. What you want to do is like renting a huge storage space and paying lots of money for it, filling it with your stuff, and then complaining that you don't have any empty storage space left. That's the point of it, to be used.
I cant open other apps because there is only 28.6MB of memory FREE..
You _think_ you can't open other apps. If you had tried it, you would have seen that the application is started just fine, and the "inactive" memory gets instantly turned into "used" memory for the next application. And if you have neither unused nor inactive memory, you can still start more applications. The operating system will then automatically use the hard drive instead of RAM, which is slower but still works.

I'll try the suggestion of hooking up a monitor first. I'm currently formatting the HD to remove personal info, so I'll have to wait until after that.

This is simply not accurate I'm afraid.
The 27" ACD works absolutely fine with the Apple OEM 5770 upgrade card with MDP, also with the 5870. After all, why would Apple sell these graphic cards if they didn't work with their only display? Further, my 5870 and 27" ACD get along like a house on fire. Note that you have to buy the Apple cards, not just a standard PC card like you seem to be implying
The first generation of ATI 5-series cards for PC didn't actually didn't follow the DisplayPort port specifications properly, and do have compatability issues with Apple products. That being said, your absolutely right peskaa, the issues were fixed with Apple OEM cards (but ppl who want to throw in any PC card just beware the 5- series cards are hit and miss on compatibility).

BIt's too bad that the mobile forum software doesn't support all features of the full site interface.
