One of my co-worker was in same boat. His desi employer revoked his I-140 when he took fulltime employement in 2005. He got his GC finally.
I am in same situation. As of yesterday, my previous employer would have revoked my 140.
I already sent the AC21 letter, there are no LUDs. My attorney says, chances that the letter may not go into the file are high and the reason we send AC21 paperwork is to keep a record that we sent. I took a screen shot of the DHL tracking info too.
Any ideas how to ensure that AC21 paperwork is getting into your file.
The answers I see on this forum is
(1) USCIS is overwhelmed with documents so mail can be trashed
(2) USCIS clerk does not know how to handle the paperwork
(3) USCIS certifying officer is not well educated about AC21

Is there any information on what an "easy" case is?
I haven't seen one so far!
It appears, easy case is a subjective decision made by a USCIS worker based on amount of time needed for the case.
It is a job scheduler that schedules the shortest job first with a subjective estimate of the time needed to process the case.

6/4 - mailed
6/6 - received by TSC
6/9 - checks cashed
6/13 - receipt in mail
6/23 - email and case status online notice of approval
6/25 - AP received in mail (2 copies, multiple entry, valid from the date expiry of current AP plus 1 yr)

While AP entry officer Stamped date one year back on my I 94 and AP Doc.Which means my stay was already expired before entry . Thank god I verified all dates before leaving counter. He changed it immediately. My advice to guys check it all before you leave counter. You never know which things can come back and haunt you.
you should possibly also carry a copy of the AP application. At least my application clearly stated that travel was for business/personal reasons...
I am sorry you had a bad experience...possibly because of the officer's ignorance...worth a complaint...maybe you can draft something with your lawyer....don't just ignore such bad behavior...
I have travelled on AP and didn't have any problems..although the officer stamped a wrong date (one day earlier) on my passport..talk about incompetence

I do have a copy of I-140 approval notice and also I do have a copy of the labor petition, but do not have the job code.
Attorney said that they have represented Employer also along with the employee and hence they need an authorization from Employer in order to answer any questions or to do any thing with my pending I-485.
Why does the Attorney want employer's permission? All you need is a copy of i 140 approval notice and "if possible" copy of the labor petition.
You may want to change your Attorney on file, you can contact some popular attorneys like Rajiv or Murthy and they will gladly help you through.

You just had diploma and filed in EB2 to get GC fast. I think you took unnecessary risk of filing in EB2. It was sad that no one advised you at that time. If you would have filed in EB3 then CIS would not have asked much questions and approve I140 and I485. Anyhow you still have chance to fight and win but by the time you get GC you may lose lot of sleep. Probably it is worth to wait more EB3 than getting so much stress in EB2.

Also I noticed that people who have filed before the PERM process are really suffering. There are people who are in EB3, waiting for more than 9-10 years, keeping hope and anxiously waiting.
I feel that we should write to USCIS to clear all the pending GC�s (EB2, EB3) filed before PERM (March 31, 2005) need to be processed before they take up any cases filed in PERM.
This will certainly make the process rational.
