As far as I know both the client and vendor letters should state the same and it is good if you have it for 3years.
At least see if your manager is willing to give you the letter on company letter head.

Could you please let me know if I can buy the health insurance only for her? Is there some law which states H1B visa holder also needs to buy the health insurance along with the spouse?
BTW, I am living in NJ.

I got my GC on the 30th of Nov. My current project ended on 31st Dec. My employer is not responding to my calls and emails asking him if I'll get paid on bench. He is not giving any clear answers and just dodging the direct questions.
I have a few very good offers in my hand as of now which I can take but those might put me in violation of some non-compete agreements that I signed. I also signed a 1 year 'bond' at the time of my I-485 filing in May.
I'm without work for the last 7 days and I won't know if he will pay me on bench before I get my paycheck end of january...
Some of the offers that I have can wait for a few more weeks...
What do you guys think I should do in this case..
Mainly worried about these aspects:
1. Non-compete agreements
2. Bond signed at the time of agreement
3. Leaving employer soon after getting my GC.
Please don't blast me for being a chicken even after getting my GC... I'm just trying to get the opinion of my fellow IVians...

I purchased a house this September and my apartment lease expires end of Sept. So I am basically living at both places and moving slowly. Anyway my USPS mail forwarding starts from 9/21.
As far as immigration and change of address goes, based on my lawyers advise...I filled out the online AR-11 change of address and also updated address change for my 485/ap/ead ( I am a july 2nd candidate) pending cases as well. However, after downloading the pdf version of the AR-11 I realized I misspell "Lane" to "Land." Don't know if this is a huge problem. Anyway can I re-file the AR-11 and change of address for all the pending petitions again for myself and my spouse? Does anyone have any thoughts or could share their experience? I read somewhere its also a good idea to update address with local office by getting info pass appointment? Any comments/ thoughts?

Why are you going to other forums for advice. Those other forums are after making money from traffic and ads. They want you to suffer as long as possible so that they make money. Hmm...so the Name Check hell is back.
Good news for EB2 I/C and all EB3 old filers ! These will save huge number of visas for them. Not many People who have filed in July 07 Visa bulletin fiasco would have FBI name check pending.

what makes you think that i am an anti-immigrant, and do you think that i am giving publicity. this is from an ad that i came across that says that 1.5 million immigrants are being brought into the country to work annually. i wanted to bring this to the attention of the forum so that we can do something to stop this false information propagation. otherwise, think about the hatred the american public will have when the time comes for CIR to be implemented. for every call we make, there will be 10 calls to oppose. unless we stand up and fight the misinformation, we are not going to see any progress. and maybe it is easy for you to label anyone as an anti-immigrant being an EB2. I lost out on my 2001 PD due to the mistake of my lawyer and am now saddled with a 2004 PD. ravise is absolutely right, u will get H1 for the period remaining (6 years minus time spent on L1). Also, if u file in next year's quota (filing starts in Apr 2010), it cannot have a start date earlier than Oct 1, 2010. I don't think u can start working on H1 before that date, even if u file premium.
Why don't u ask you company to file in current year's quota -- there are still visas available.

When we use the recent I94 (from the H1), do we need to say "were you inspected by an immigration officer?" as "yes"?

Me and my husband left US on AP, which is valid until nxt year. We both were working on valid H1's until we left. We dont want to go for stamping and will use AP on our arrival at the POE. We havent applied for EAD when we left. Is it Ok for us to apply for EAD once we are back in US or is it ok to apply for H1's again once we r back. In both cases whether we go for h1 or EAD, can we start wroking rt a way or do we need approval first.

If you are planning to continue working for the same H1 employer when you return on AP, then you can start working immediately. If you intend to change employers, then either your new employer needs to file a H1 Change of Employer petition and you can start working once you get it approved OR you can apply EAD and start working when its approved.
